Allegany County Transit (ACT) is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in or denied the benefits of the transit services we offer. This policy is consistent with the requirements of federal laws (Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Environmental Justice Regulations).

If you believe you have been subjected to unequal treatment because of race, color, or national origin, then you have the right to file a formal complaint. How to file a complaint with Allegany County Transit

  1. Download a PDF of the Title VI complaint form or, have a form mailed to you by contacting the transit office at 301-722-6360.
  2. Complaints must be filed within 180 days of the alleged discriminatory act and should contain as much detailed information about the alleged discrimination as possible.
  3. The form must be signed and include your contact information.
