A Child Advocacy Center offers ONE place for kids suspected of having suffered abuse that provides a safe, child-friendly environment where law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, medical and mental health professionals may share information and develop effective, coordinated strategies sensitive to the needs of each unique case and child. We offer tours of our facility to individuals/groups interested in learning more about what we do.
In addition to services provided directly to victims of abuse, Jane's Place also offers services to the community with a focus on prevention. Our Outreach Coordinator works with children in the classroom to teach them how to keep their bodies safe and what to do should they experience abuse. We can also provide a speaker for your organization to talk about child abuse prevention, Internet safety, grooming, and domestic minor sex trafficking.
“Jane’s Place, Inc. Allegany County’s Child Advocacy Center is an organization dedicated to providing a child-friendly environment committed to reducing the trauma to children who have been abused, neglected or sexually assaulted and provide them the space where they can begin to heal.”
